Q1. Why should I have my pet groomed?
A1. Because pets feel better after a bath and a spruce up. They feel like a young dog again and it gets them used to being handled if they are only puppies.
Q2. How often should I get my dog groomed?
A2. Every 6 – 8 weeks. This helps the dog get used to being groomed and helps the owner stay on top of it. Regular brushing in-between is essential though.
Q3. Why does my dog scratch all the time?
A3. There are many reasons for this. It may have fleas, in which case the animal needs treating as well as the area where the animal goes, including the car, bedroom etc. Or it may have a skin problem in which case it needs taking to a vet.
Q4. Can I still bring my dog if he is nasty?
A4. Yes you can. We at Hair ‘n’ Houndz pride ourselves on being able to deal with the nastiest of dogs using professional calm and caring methods. You don’t need to worry when they are in our care!
Q5. How often can I bath my dog?
A5. You can bath your dog as often as once a week, providing you use a mild shampoo so as not to strip out the natural oils in the dogs coat, but always remember to brush out all the knots before bathing as water tightens any knots, leaving them harder to groom out
